This painting is made up of 70 porcelain pellets all shaped by hand. The line design is created by a mixture of white and black porcelain. The light wood floating frame is contemporary and has a thin, sturdy metal cable for easy hanging.

This work is named after John Davis, an explorer who discovered the Davis Strait passing on the 70th parallel and separating Baffin Land from Greenland, in memory of a trip to this magnificent country.
